Alter® SM 1280
Air-cooled Switch Mode Microwave Power Supply for 6kW, 2.45 GHz Magnetrons
Alter® SM 1280 is an air-cooled power supply for 6 kW magnetron. It is able to power and control most types of magnetrons with nominal power of 6 kW @ 2.45 GHz.
Output power can be adjusted continuously, from 10% up to 100%, using an external analog signal from 1 to 10VDC, by remote control via fieldbus interface, or with front panel commands (depending on the model).
Alter® SM 1280 models are available for 208, 400 or 480 VAC lines, work well with MKS, Alter® TM060 or TM066 microwave heads, and can also power other manufacturers' microwave heads, if electrically compatible.
The SM 1280 autonomously manages the operating status of the magnetron, driving the correct pre-heating of the filament, adjusting filament voltage according to the specific backdown curve, and shutting off output for any alarm event condition, such as over current or overvoltage of the magnetron.
Electrical wiring is finished with industrial connectors, except for the high voltage anodic cable which is connected directly to the magnetron. Any electrical function has a separate connector, for easy set up.
The SM 1280 Microwave Generator has a front panel of 19 inches wide and 12.25 inches high (7U). It is built with a rugged steel base and aluminum panels and is easily removable. Air cooling flow enters from the front and exits from the rear.
