All it took was that one little step of courage.

This is MY INNOVATION story

Distribution Coordinator | Manuela Giraldo

I found the courage to bring new ideas to our Distribution process.

I was a little nervous to present my ideas. I saw room for improvement. Small changes that could make a big difference, but what if my colleagues didn’t agree? What if they thought I was wrong?

I was nervous, but I’m not afraid to fail. It’s worse not to try. So I shared my ideas with management and my team and we decided to implement them.

We modernized our Distribution pick carts by increasing their size and adding battery packs that enabled us to take our laptops on-the-go. Now instead of moving parts to a fixed station we take the cart wherever the parts are and conduct transactions on the spot.

These simple changes have improved efficiency by more than 30% and significantly reduced transactional errors.

All it took was that one little step of courage.

If you’re looking for the freedom to introduce and develop new ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
