This is our MY INNOVATION story

Machine Operators | MKS La Boulonnie, France

We stay on the lookout for innovative ways to improve our production processes – to save time and promote safety.

As operators at MKS’ La Boulonnie plant in France, we are not only dedicated to quality products, we are also focused on promoting a culture of innovation and safety.

The last production step for one of the parts we produce - Head Bolts for HXP200 – required us to manually brush the sphere using a turning machine to get a perfect final surface. This was taking time and posed a potential safety risk, so we decided to try something new. Let’s take this step from manual to automated.

We searched for a specific brush that could get the job done, created new programming and implemented a completely automatic brushing system. What we used to do by hand is now done by a machine that we programmed. Now we’re using this same automated brushing process for other parts at our facility, saving time and reducing risk.

We can all find innovative solutions, if we just keep our eyes open for the opportunity.

If you’re looking for the freedom to introduce and develop new ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
