Relay Output (Vacuum/Pressure Switches)
MKS offers several different models of vacuum/pressure switches for accurate and reliable protection of vacuum equipment, atmospheric switching, and vacuum/pressure processes. Designed for applications where a DC signal output is not required, these switches provide relay outputs that are readily interfaced with alarms, valve actuators, computers, process controllers, load locks and other protection devices.
41B, 42B, 52B, and 52B Baratrons® are compact, reliable, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)-compliant switches that operate on input voltages of either 10-20VDC or 20-30VDC. Their switching relay is preset at the factory from 5% to 100% of the product's full-scale range. They can be configured in either single-ended or flow-through versions, and can be referenced to either atmospheric pressure (gauge calibration) or high vacuum (absolute calibration). Full-scale ranges from 10 Torr (13 mbar) to 3000 PSIA (204 bar) are available.
141A and 142A Baratron® Vacuum Switches operate on an input voltage of ±15VDC, and offer absolute calibrations from 1 to 1000 Torr (1.33 to 1333 mbar). Their trip points can be customer-adjusted from 0.2 to 100% of the full-scale range. The 141A Baratron® Vacuum Switch operates at ambient temperature, while the 142A operates at 100°C for use in difficult applications where process contamination is likely.
