Electrostatic Pinning in Paper and Film Converting
Electrostatic charging using ionization is often the most elegant and
efficient way of accomplishing many physical tasks in handling paper and
plastic films, webs and sheets. A single charging system or a combination
of two charging systems are used for "pinning" or "tacking" sheets and webs
of film and paper. Electrostatic charging is used for chill roll edge
pinning on cast film lines, in lamination, plastic bag manufacturing, for
roll transfer, shrink wrapping, and other.
